Lessons Learned from the SDG Fund Report
Published by: SDG Fund
About
As the SDG Fund prepares to close in September 2019, we hope its pioneering work and the important lessons we learned live on. Whether it is informing how to work across the UN system, how to attract multiple donors, how to engage the private sector, or how to ensure local and national governments are truly invested in the process, future initiatives can benefit from examining the SDG Fund’s experience.
In order to make progress on issues such as poverty, food and nutrition, education, gender equality, and climate change, we must embrace the SDG Fund’s unwavering commitment to multi-dimensional programming and multi-sector work. The UN and the people it represents could benefit greatly from this successful model. We hope this document provides helpful guidance for such work. We look forward to sharing these lessons as a small contribution to create a more just, peaceful and sustainable world under the umbrella of the 2030 Agenda.
