For each entry received, Ebro Foods will make a contribution to SDG Fund's nutrition projects. This means your recipe will have a direct impact on people all over the world. Find out more about some of the food and nutrition porjects the SDG Fund runs around the world.

If we are to leave no one behind, we must guarantee that everyone has access to healthy, and sustainable food resources. This means more equitable food systems and minimizing waste, as well as finding ways to promote healthier diets. The SDG Fund, a United Nations mechanism, that brings together UN Agencies, governments, businesses and civil society to achieve the SDGs is already working in 23 countries and is committed to supporting  food security and improving nutritional outcomes. Moving towards SDG 2 “Zero Hunger” is an ongoing priority for the SDG Fund.

For each recipe that you share, Ebro Foods, a leading food company with sustainability at its heart, will make a donation to SDG Fund food projects.

Your recipe will contribute to food projects like:

  • In Fiji, our project works with smallholder farmers in the local communities to promote organic agriculture through production systems that combine tradition, innovation and new agricultural techniques. Working in tandem with the tourism industry, the program helps ensure that local produce can be developed and market linkages made.
  • In Peru, the program supports local farmers all along the value chain in the production of quinoa and other Andean grains. Working with smallholder and often vulnerable producers, the project hopes to translate the growing global demand for the products into economic and social gains for local farm producers.
  • In Sri Lanka, the program is working closely with the government to address food security and in scaling up nutrition. The project is unique in that it works closely with local governments and schools to raise awarenes and educate households to ensure that children have access to better health options and necessary micronutrients.
  • El Salvador’s government is developing new plans and regulations to tackle food security and nutrition among the most vulnerable. By strengthening the role of women, the program is also working to increase the access to health services and promote women-owned micro-businesses to reduce the high rates of under-nutrition and obesity.
  • In Ecuador’s Imbabura region, the program is designed to help improve income generation opportunities for the smallholder farmers. The SDG Fund programme aims to strengthen local food systems and increase production of certain crops to enhance the nutritional outcome for all families under Ecuador's National Strategy. 
  • In Nigeria's Kaduna region federal and local governments, private sector and UN Agencies are launching a joint platform to create jobs, promote gender equality and reduce food waste called "Food Africa".
